I would definitely say that there is a greatness in growth. So many opportunities and wonderful things come from our learning life lessons, which further enhances our experiences going forward. It allows us to broaden our horizons in various aspects, personally, spiritually, even in secular areas – the list can go on. It allows us to be open to meeting new people, who have grown in ways of their own by way of enduring trials unbeknownst to us; sometimes surpassing many negative situations we have been in, or could ever imagine ourselves to be in.

Life is crazy roller coaster ride. Being surrounded by those who have struggled and have come out on top brings a richness to any social circle which isn’t to be overlooked or taken for granted.  I’m grateful for having these people in my life. They keep me grounded, sane, and on guard against the negative aspects of the harsh realities in life that we all must face – all the while having a blast at the same time. These ones have aided over the years in contributing to my greatness in growing. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

———–

I most certainly enjoyed working with such talented, mature, and well respected women in our community for this project of mine, ‘Giovane’. It’s so refreshing to collaborate with like-minded individuals seeking to encourage each other and our respective talents.

Alice Woods is such an amazing photographer and creative director – without her I wouldn’t have been able to master the art of posing. She chose some awesome locations to shoot these looks; and made the best use of our time to capture light in its most natural form for that day – both of which resulted in super cool shots – I couldn’t have imagined better spots to take any of these photos. A huge thank you to her for making this happen.

Loide Adam is a well renown and respected make-up artist (MUA) in the GTA – and was super hands on with coming up with the looks for this shoot. She’s been in the business for 12 years, and has extensive experience with bridal and editorial make-up, as well as with having worked on an array of fashion shows. Loide was trained to execute flawless looks at the exclusive college, Complections. Loide was really fun to work with, and has now become my absolute go-to for special events.

Lesley Zita is my ever so efficient and super reliable hair stylist. She loves my locks and never ceases to deliver with perfect styling. I’d be lost without her. She has  been in the business for over a 20 years and is the ultimate go-to for many in the GTA. She has saved me from many a hair disaster – and is highly skilled in putting together the most modern looks. The best part of my appointments is catching up over a bottle of wine.

I look forward to working with these amazing women again in 2014. Stay tuned for upcoming projects!

Here are some more photos from the shoot to enjoy.
